Teshtar Elavia

Teshtar (Tesh) Elavia is the Vice President of R&D for Medication Delivery Solutions at BD (Becton Dickinson and Company), a global leader in medical technology. He leads global initiatives to develop and support MDS products, reinforcing the business unit’s category leadership and expanding operations to new areas to serve more customers. Tesh joined BD in 2019, initially leading R&D for Pre-Analytical Systems and later for Diabetes Care. In 2022, he became Vice President of R&D for Surgery, driving innovation and collaboration across the company. Before BD, Tesh was Associate Vice President of New Product Introductions at Eli Lilly, managing product development for medical devices and biotech businesses. He also held roles at Medtronic and Johnson & Johnson. Tesh holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Mumbai University and a Master of Engineering from Widener University. He is a certified Master Black Belt, Lean Leader and Internal Quality Auditor.
