Rebecca Seidel is president of the Cardiac Ablation Solutions (CAS) Operating Unit at Medtronic, where she leads a team of more than 1,000 employees dedicated to improving the lives of patients with cardiac arrhythmias. In this role, Rebecca has led the growth of the CAS business from a single-product organization to one of the most dynamic growth businesses at Medtronic, with multiple new technologies aimed at delivering next generation care in a rapidly evolving competitive market. Among her recent accomplishments, Rebecca led the strategic acquisition and integration of Affera, Inc. into the CAS portfolio and the launch of the first-of-its-kind Affera™ Mapping and Ablation System with Sphere-9™ Catheter for arrhythmia treatment. Rebecca’s team also engineered, developed and launched the first treatment in the U.S. to use pulsed field energy to successfully treat atrial fibrillation (PulseSelect™), an important advancement for the electrophysiology community. In addition, she has led the ongoing development of innovative solutions that has resulted in a well-rounded portfolio of offerings and a robust pipeline for cardiac arrhythmia patients. During her 20+ year career with Medtronic, Rebecca has held leadership roles across the business enterprise. She served as vice president and general manager of the Infection Control business, where she led the integration and global expansion of the organization, as well as roles in commercialization, strategy, product support, core team leadership, field service, and product marketing. A dedicated people leader, Rebecca earned the Medtronic Wallin Leadership Award recognizing her commitment to developing employees and has received two Star of Excellence Awards. She is a board member of the American Heart Association of the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, an active participant in the Medtronic Women’s Network, and a sponsor for Asian Impact at Medtronic’s Asian Women in Leadership. Rebecca holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) and a master’s degree in information technology from Capella University.
