
Chris Steadham
A versatile medtech professional, Chris has more than 25 years of international cross- functional leadership in Research and Development, Operations, and General Management of Class II and Class III medical devices. He is a named inventor on several U.S. patents for devices including balloon catheters, a stent graft, and an embolic protection device. Chris was recently named Vice President of Technology for Aptyx after the acquisition of the Charlotte, N.C., facility of Medical Murray, which develops and produces catheter- based interventional products and transcatheter implants. In this role, he will lead the company’s technology and engineering initiatives. At Medical Murray, Chris served as General Manager and oversaw all operations at the company’s Charlotte, N.C., facility. He has significant experience in complex interventional systems, including previous roles at Bard Peripheral Vascular (acquired by BD) managing several stent graft and delivery system projects, as well as technical responsibilities at Machine Solutions, JH Technologies, and Guidant (now part of Boston Scientific). Chris has bachelor’s degrees in both Mechanical Engineering and Physics from Vanderbilt University.
