David Preiss

David Preiss is the co-founder and CEO of Variable Machines, a startup developing programmable tooling for the composites manufacturing industry. He is passionate about digital fabrication and the future of manufacturing automation. He holds a Masters Degree from MIT where his research focused on laser machining diamond rotors used in solid state NMR spectroscopy. Prior to Variable Machines, he worked for 5 years, developing next-generation 3D printers and CNC routers at Formlabs and ShopBot Tools.
