Mike Longo

Mike Longo is a seasoned engineering executive with over 20 years of experience in developing and executing all phases of medical device development, from concept through commercialization. His expertise primarily focuses on cardiovascular devices and Nitinol stents. Mike possesses extensive knowledge of Quality Systems Regulations (QSR), ISO 9001, and 13485, and has managed Class I, II,and III development programs. Currently, Mike serves as Vice President of Engineering at Lungpacer Medical. Previously, he served as Vice President of Research and Development at Intact Vascular and Vesper Medical, both of which were acquired by Royal Philips in 2020 and 2022, respectively. At Vesper Medical, he contributed to the development of innovative venous stent technologies aimed at improving the treatment of deep venous disease. Prior to these roles, Mike held leadership and senior engineering positions at Animas Corporation (a Johnson & Johnson Company), Bioconnect Systems, and Kensey Nash (now DSM). Mike earned a B.S. degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University. Mike is passionate about medical device development, with a focus on creating solutions that improve patient care and drive advancements in healthcare technologies.
