Julie Thompson is a director of research and development within the Boston Scientific Cardiac Rhythm Management & Diagnostics business. In this role she leads a team of scientists and engineers focused on developing technology to improve cardiac patient management. These teams have developed multiple commercialized product features including a novel multi-sensor monitoring technology, HeartLogic™, which can effectively detect early signs of worsening heart failure. Julie began her career as a research scientist focused on algorithm development for implantable cardiac devices and completed her Ph.D. in electrical engineering at the University of Michigan.
